SISTER NYC Resident MC Linzee
"Linzee weaves rhyme, spoken word, and vocals into the live DJ mixes. She doesn't assert herself over the mix-unlike perhaps, the more ego-driven of her male counterparts, but blends seamlessly with the track. In fact, without glancing at the booth, it's hard to tell there is an MC at all".--Knowledge Magazine/Nov 2002-UK.
Co-founder of Sister SF and creatior of it's newest chapter, Sister NYC, Linzee works hard to develop female talent across the US and beyond by exposing, managing and promoting up and coming female DJs. As a MC and Vocalist, She has caught the eye of the press such as Knowledge Magazine UK, NY Post and XLR8R for her unique microphone style that fuses MCing, scatting, rhyming as well as singing along side various styles of electronic music including her first love, drum 'n' bass and most recently breaks! Her style is minimal, soulful as well as energetic and always in the mix.
Currently Linzee keeps busy performing live PAs with Camea, Stefny, Winter,
Siren and Strife, vocal training and working with several producers
in NYC. Her vocals have been aired on CBS during the end credits
"March Madness 2003" basketball special produced by MTV. Her latest
track "Diggin in Deep" is dirty electro business produced by Gun
for Hire and co-produced and mixed by Steve J. Check it out here.
Her latest project landed her press coverage in the NY Times for
her performance with the Decadance
dance company at the Fringe
Festival in August 2004. Linzee MC'd her original lyrics live
over beats in the production of "Decadance vs. Firebird".
