tonearm Sister PDX Resident DJ Flutterby

Elizabeth Wolfe has been listening to techno music since the "Rave 'til Dawn" days of 1991. However, it wasn't until 1997 that she started buying records herself. Hearing atmospheric drum'n'bass for the first time was the catalyst.

Flutterby (a variation of "butterfly") scored her first gig in Portland in fall 1999. As a jungle DJ, she has provided support for visiting San Francisco DJs Flux, Sage, XJS and MC Linzee, and StarEyes. Her dream gig was opening for LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad in April 2002.

After breaking away from DnB, Flutterby took up with deep house, downtempo, indie pop, funk, and '80s. She's been on the same bill as DJ Slip (NYC), Metro Area (Brooklyn), and Kid 606 (Oakland).

Flutterby has been described as a "talented, busy" DJ by the Portland Mercury. Hey, not bad for a girl who had always considered herself "musically inept."
