MC Chickaboo

MC Chickaboo is one of the best known MCs on the drum n' bass and underground dance scene. She is THE best known female MC in the business. While focusing predominantly on drum n' bass, she also can bend her lyrical skills to house, garage, hip-hop and R&B. Lead vocalist for live drum n' bass band, King Kooba, she is one of the featured vocalists on their second album, The Throne Room, on Second Skin Recordings. Not one to confine the outlets for her talent, Chickaboo has participated in various film and TV projects. Most notably, she has done a vocal voiceover for the mammoth athletic company, Nike. This was the first Nike advert with an all female cast and voiceover. Her session work for Amber Music lead to the Nike advert and she also dropped a voice-demo for Coca-Cola. As a bit of contrast, she played a part in Made in Brixton, a short documentary film about five young people living in one of London's most notorious inner city neighborhoods.
