Anne Savage Anne Savage

From her first residency at the tender age of nineteen in Bolzano, Italy through gigs as diverse as The Guvernment in Toronto, right through to the Quartz Festival on a small Island near Norway, Anne has put herself firmly on the clubbing map. Her first UK residency was at the legendary Angels in Burnley, alongside Carl Cox in 1993 and this led on to the residencies that catapulted her to national acclaim Vague and Ark in Leeds.

Anne has undoubted talent for spinning every type of music from breaks, deep house techno and euphoric house, but it is her hard house and trance for which she is recognised worldwide with dates in every corner of the globe including Italy, Ibiza, Majorca, Austria, Norway, Finland, Germany, Greece, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and the US. Anne has a huge following in Canada, especially Toronto where she is one of the few international djs to play every major dance club in the city (The Guvernment, System Industry and Limelight), as well as parties and clubs in practically every town and city with a scene across the country.

In 1998/9 she toured South Africa twice with Goldie, Grace Jones and the Weather Girls, playing to 33,000 people in Johannesburg and was feted on TV channel CNN. Anne was the subject of a Channel 5 documentary, and has presented and been interviewed on Kiss TV, Rapture TV, MTV and Electric Circus.

Anne frequently plays for UK club giants, Ministry of Sound, Slinky, Passion, Sundissential, Trade and Colours in Scotland. This maybe why Pete Tong and Judge Jules have featured her on UK’s no.1 dance shows on Radio 1 many times.

Anne has various studio projects on the go. She has had four releases as ‘Destiny Angel’ on Automatic Records, a label she also does A&R for. She records as herself on Tidy Trax, the first release of many being the Tidy Girls EP. Anne has released over 20 tracks, the last of which (I Need You, Tidy Trax) sold over 22,000 copies. She also has her own label ‘Freakshow’, with Craig Burger Queen. They remix and produce their own tracks as ‘Northern Scum’.

DJs Direct is an album series of live DJ sets featuring leading underground DJs such as John OO Flemming, Guy Ornadel Anne’s was the first in this series.

Anne receives high profile coverage in all areas of Music and Fashion press, TV and Radio for her DJ and producing work, where her determination and passion become apparent. Her popularity is down to her vivacious personality, and energetic performance, which comes across to all clubbers who love and follow her music.
