Amber Reyn DJ Amber Reyn

Amber, born in New York was introduced to the house scene at a young age by swapping mixed tapes with the neighbor kids. That was all she had to listen to until she was old enough to hit the clubs in the flesh.

In 1995 she took off to study computer science at the University of Florida, there it was a whole new dance scene and sounds of music ranging from house, techno, breakbeat and acid jazz. It did not take Amber long to become fully immersed into the underground club scene and shortly after the inspiration developed to become more than just part of the music scene but to be a dj.

The summer of 2000, Amber moved to Phoenix for a job as a software engineer, she continued her eclectic love of music and found her way into multiple residencies in Phoenix. Since then she has played in many cities in the US. Also had the chance to play in Europe and in New Zealand.

Her consistent residencies in Phoenix are at Next and Freedom. Freedom, one of the only underground night clubs to bring in top talent from all over the world has giving Amber a chance to play with many reputable djs, such as, Seb Fantaine, Max Graham, DJ Irene, Dara, DJ Rap, DJ Colette, Nigel Richards and other fine talent. Amber’s style can range from techy to funky to bumping house. It can be a smooth blend of deep house or banging tech house set.

Amber shares, “The feedback from an energized crowd, forgetting where they are and the constraints of reality, the freedom of expression and dance is what inspires me to go on.” Last year she integrated using Final Scratch into her sets along with vinyl. Recently started doing tag team sets with her partner Jaycee from Belgium aka Nutownproject. Also spending time in the studio and calibrating with NutownProject for production. Look out for a release by Chatter Box…
